I like having a scale with an app. The app helps me see trends over time and even gives messages like "losing fat." I realize the scale can't give you an accurate reading of body fat but mine stays consistent (if you look at it as an average and ignore every day small fluctuations). I also get Dexa scans and the scale shows lower body fat than the Dexa scan however it is consistently lower. In other words, if my body fat has decreased by 2% on the Dexa, it has also decreased by 2% on the scale. They just aren't the same numbers.

SCANDALEUX !

My Withings cardio scan scale quit working after 2 years (the warranty period is 2 years...). The battery is dead and apparently can't be recharged. Customer support had me on a "chat" for almost an hour to tell me nothing could be done. The chatter -- supposedly a person -- must have been doing multiple chats at once. She twice referred to my scale as a watch... TERRIBLE support, lousy interface, no way to give feedback. After making a big deal of "verifying" my account SEVERAL TIMES, at the end, she asked me for my NAME to be able to give me a small discount on a replacement product. UGH. No more Withings.

My watch that I paid for, Withings Scan Watch 2 was acting up. Before I even reached out to them, I trouble shoot the watch based on their documentation. They don't have a phone number and use the excuse that their phones are down (which we know that no big companies will usually ever have their phones down). When you get to a chat with operator, they almost sound like they are a robot. I told them 3 times that I have hard reset the watch and they still ask me if I hard reset the watch. It takes on average 2-5 minutes before they respond once you have sent a message. I sat their and timed it. After approximately 1 hour they then say they will escalate my problem to a senior support team member. I'll keep you guys posted on what happens next.

Just upgraded my Scan HR (which I loved)to a ScanWatch 2, very happy out of the box and it looks really classy on the wrist! I love the app, the new ECG and temperature functions make keeping on top of my health markers very easy.
